Meet Your Matcha With Pressed Juicery’s New Flavors
Pressed Juicery has come out with three new green juices this month, all of which are based around everyone’s favorite antioxidant powerhouse: matcha! Matcha is packed with ten times the antioxidants of green tea, boosts your metabolism, detoxes your body, prevents disease, is loaded with fiber— the list goes on. You can see why Pressed would want to introduce matcha juices to their menu.
Matcha can be consumed in a latte form, as a green tea, or in a juice! The matcha juices offered at Pressed are Matcha Lemonade, Matcha Tea, and Matcha Almond. The Matcha Almond is packed with 10 grams of protein, tasting similar to almond milk, but with the unmistakable flavor of matcha. This juice serves as a heavier drink among the three.
The Matcha Lemonade and Matcha Tea contain probiotics that support digestion, and contain all the other benefits matcha has to offer. These new matcha juices are a perfect pick-me-up any time of day!
In all honesty, matcha is definitely an acquired taste. I had to add spoonfuls upon spoonfuls of sugar to the first matcha latte I ever had, just in efforts to take a few sips. Now, of course, I love the taste and wouldn’t dare add sugar to a matcha latte because— hello— adding sugar defeats the purpose of drinking this magically beneficial health drink! The point is, don’t be deterred by these new matcha juices because you think you don’t like the flavor. If you’re new to matcha, I’d try the Matcha Lemonade first, as it is the most subtle of the three. However, they all are worth trying for the health benefits alone, and I wouldn’t be surprised if you suddenly realize you actually enjoy the taste.
While new juices are always great and worth trying, Pressed’s new matcha Freeze flavor is to die for— no joke. Freeze is Pressed’s version of frozen yogurt or ice cream; it’s a blend of certain Pressed juices with ice to create the most incredible, guilt-free treat you’ll ever have! You can top it with delicious almond butter, fruit, coconut shreds, chia seeds and more. While my typical order is chocolate vanilla swirl, I have switched to ordering matcha every single time— I swear, it’s addictive!
